Burntwood Wedding Photography At Christchurch And The Nags Head

Saturday 18th June saw us working in our home town of Burntwood, Staffordshire providing the professional wedding photography for Luke and Becky. The couple had chosen to hold their marriage ceremony at Christchurch, followed by the wedding reception in the nearby Nags Heads function room.

We arrived at Christchurch at around 2.15pm to await the arrival of bridegroom Luke along with his bestman Shaun.  The pair soon arrived looking very smart dressed in their grey suits complete with pale green ties. We photographed Luke and Shaun in various locations around the Burntwood church as they greeted the guests that had now started arriving.

The congregation was soon called into the church to take their seats ready for the wedding ceremony to begin. We waited outside to photograph the arrival of Becky along with her father.

Becky arrived in a silver Chrysler wedding car with pale green ribbons. We set about photographing Becky as she sat in the car outside the church, before she exited the car into the sunshine. Becky looked truly beautiful in her white lace fitted wedding dress. Becky was happy to pose for our cameras before she entered the church, both with her father, and alone.

Becky now entered the church to make her walk down the aisle to meet Luke who was waiting at the altar, for the marriage ceremony to begin. The ceremony was a lovely service that was filled with emotion, and was thoroughly enjoyed by the loved ones of Luke and Becky that made up the congregation. Luke and Becky were now officially introduced as the new Mr and Mrs Mellar, before signing the wedding register, and making their first journey together as husband and wife as they walked up the aisle to exit the church.

After the newlyweds had spent a few minutes with their guests who were eager to congratulate them, we set about capturing the traditional wedding photography of the family groups with Luke and Becky. The wedding congregation showered the newlyweds with a heavy covering of confetti underneath the churches lychgate. Once all of the official traditional wedding photographs had been taken, we spent time alone with the newlyweds at various locations around the church to photograph some romantic wedding portraits of them enjoying their special moment together for inclusion into their wedding album.

The newlyweds were much more relaxed now that they were out of the watchful eyes of their guests.

Luke and Becky now made their way back to their wedding car to make the short journey to the Nags Head for their wedding reception.

We photographed the couples arrival, as well as Luke and Becky in the Nags Heads function room that had been decorated beautifully for them.

It was now time for the wedding congregation to sit down for their wedding breakfast and the formal speeches.

We returned to the Nags Head on the evening to photograph as Luke and Becky took to the dance floor to perform the traditional first dance.

It was now time for us to leave as the party got into full swing late into the night to celebrate the marriage of Luke and Becky.

We would like to wish Luke and Becky a very long, very healthy, and very happy life together as husband and wife.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank them for choosing us to be the official photographers on their special day.
