Burntwood Wedding Photography At Christchurch And Lea Hall Social Club

Saturday 12th September saw us providing the professional wedding photography for Paul and Lisa in our hometown of Burntwood in Staffordshire. The venue for their marriage ceremony was to be Christchurch, followed by a wedding reception to be held at Lea Hall Social Club in the nearby town of Rugeley. These are two venues that we have worked at many times before, and always enjoy returning to.

We arrived at Burntwood Christchurch at around 2pm to await the arrival of bridegroom Paul along with his two bestmen Ricky and Callum. At around 2.15 the groomsmen arrived in a silver Rolls Royce wedding car, all looking very smart dressed in their blue wedding suits. We photographed the groomsmen outside the Burntwood wedding venue, before leaving them to greet the wedding guests that had now started to arrive.

The Rolls Royce wedding car soon returned to Christchurch, this time carrying the 3 bridesmaids who looked amazing dressed in their Navy Blue bridesmaid dresses, along with the lovely flower girl dressed in a white dress.  The bridal party who were all carrying matching yellow bouquets waited outside the church for the arrival of the bride.

The vicar, Matt soon called the congregation in to the church to take their seats for the marriage ceremony, as the bride Lisa was now expected to arrive.

The luxurious wedding car returned to the church for a third time, this time bringing Lisa and her father to the wedding venue.  Lisa looked stunning dressed in her white three quarter length wedding dress, along with her yellow bouquet. Her very proud looking dad was dressed in a grey suit.

The bridal party now made their way into church to walk down the aisle to greet Paul who was eagerly waiting at the altar. The marriage ceremony was a lovely well humoured service, with many references to the football team rivalry between the couple. Paul and Lisa exchanged their wedding vows and wedding rings before being announced as husband and wife.

The wedding congregation now made its way outside for the formal wedding photography to begin. We made sure that we photographed all of the traditional groups with the newlyweds outside the Christchurch.

We now spent a short while alone with Paul and Lisa photographing them together in romantic portrait photographs for inclusion into their wedding album before making our way back to the waiting wedding car. The wedding car chauffer had placed a bottle of champagne and two glasses on a stand underneath the churches arch ready for the newlyweds to sip on their journey over to their wedding reception in Rugeley.

We had arranged that we would go over to Lea Hall Social Club at around 8pm to photograph the first dance and the wedding cake cutting. As we arrived the party was in full swing with everyone enjoying the80’s music that was being provided on stage from a live band.

It was soon 8.45pm, and so it was time for Paul and Lisa to take centre stage on the dance floor to perform their first dance together as man and wife as the band expertly played for them. It was now time to cut the two tier wedding cake that also had a selection of cupcakes in alternating West Brom and Everton club crests.

We now left the lovely couple to party hard into the night as they celebrated their wedding with all of their family and friends.

We would like to thank Paul and Lisa for choosing us to provide them with their official wedding photography. We would also like to take this opportunity to wish them a very long, very health, and very happy life together.
