Lichfield Ceremony And Netherstowe House Wedding Photography

Yesterday, the 6th October Glyn T Jones was providing the official wedding photography for Alex and Amy in Lichfield.  The couple had chosen to hold their wedding ceremony at Lichfield Registry Office, followed by an afternoon tea wedding reception at the nearby stunning Netherstowe House, which is a very picturesque Georgian Boutique Hotel.

We arrived at the Lichfield wedding venue at around 11.15 am to await the arrival of bridegroom Alex. We didn’t have to wait very long before Alex arrived looking very smart in his wedding suit complete with Ivory waistcoat and pink tie. We set about photographing Alex, along with his father, and younger brother who was performing the best man duties for the day, in the Staffordshire sun. Alex and the wedding congregation were soon called inside to take their seats ready for the wedding ceremony, while we waited outside for the arrival of bride Amy.

Amy soon arrived in style, travelling in a white vintage Austin Princess wedding car. Amy emerged from the car with her father who was giving her away. Amy looked truly beautiful in her strapless wedding dress and sparkly tiara. We photographed the bridal party outside before they were called into the wedding venue.

The marriage ceremony ran perfectly, and you could see the nerves of both Alex and Amy fading as the service went on. The couple were soon officially named as husband and wife, and the marriage was sealed with a traditional kiss.

The newlywed couple now led the congregation out of the registry office and out into the sunny Beacon Park for the traditional wedding photography to take place, once the happy couple had been congratulated by their loved ones.  Alex and Amy were showered with confetti, before posing with family members and friends for wedding photographs in Beacon Park. We then spent some time alone with the newlyweds in Lichfields Memorial Gardens to photograph Alex and Amy in some romantic wedding portraits for them to include in their wedding album.

Alex and Amy now travelled in their wedding car to Netherstowe House for their afternoon wedding reception. Upon arriving at this beautiful Georgian hotel we photographed them outside this picturesque hotel before entering to greet their guests.

Once inside everyone enjoyed a drink off Pimms and canapés as they chatted, Alex and Amy posed with their amazing wedding cake that had been made for them by a friend.

At around 2pm the newlyweds were introduced into the room, to be seated with their family and friends for afternoon tea. At this point we left the wedding congregation to enjoy the rest of the day.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Alex and Amy for choosing us to provide them with their professional wedding photography on their special day. We would also like to wish them a very long, very happy, and very healthy life together as husband and wife.
