Lichfield Wedding Photography at Staffordshire Towns Registry Office.

Saturday 31st May 2014 was a beautiful day that we spent providing the Lichfield Wedding Photography for Steve and Sian as they celebrated their special day.  The lovely couple from Rugeley in Staffordshire had chosen to hold their wedding ceremony at the Lichfield Registry Office, set in the amazing Beacon Park. This was then followed by the evening reception held back in Rugeley at The Lea Hall social Club.

We arrived at the Rugeley home of the parents of the bride Sian, at around 1pm as previously discussed at our final pre-wedding meeting. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a very calm and chilled Sian. Her hair had already been styled, and her make-up had been applied, but she was still to put on her wedding dress. We photographed the couples children as they were got ready into their wedding clothes, before Sian disappeared upstairs to put on her stunning white wedding gown.

Sian soon emerged down the stairs into view of her father for his very first glimpse of the wedding dress, this was a very touching moment, and a few tears were shed from both Sian and her dad. We photographed Sian with her children, and very proud mom and dad, before we made our way over to Lichfield to meet our groom Steve.

Upon arrival at the Lichfield wedding venue we tracked down Steve along with his best man Jon, who is also his brother. Steve had previously told us that he was very nervous about being photographed we soon found however that once a few shots had been taken, Steve soon warmed into it all, and was soon posing like a professional model, and enjoying the experience.  The waiting congregation were now ushered into the Registry office while we waited outside for Sian to arrive.

Right on time Sian arrived along with her father in a beautiful London Taxi Cab wedding car that had obviously been lovingly restored. Sian was photographed outside the wedding venue before slipping inside for her interview with the Staffordshire towns registrars.

The wedding ceremony went very well, watched and enjoyed by all of the couples friends and family members, and they newlyweds soon walked back up the aisle as husband and wife to the delight of the congregation.

We then set about capturing the traditional wedding photography in Beacon Park of the newlyweds with various family members, and friends. The couple received a good showering of confetti, a ceremony that seemed to be especially enjoyed by the children of the couple.

We now spent some time alone with Steve and Sian to capture some more relaxed portrait photography of them enjoying their early moments of married life. We always feel that once the newlyweds are out of sight of their guest they let their guard down a little & relax in the company of each other, this comes across well in the photographs for their wedding album.

Steve and Sian now made their way back to the wedding car to enjoy a glass or two of champagne on the journey back to Rugeley to the reception venue at Lea Hall Social Club. Here we spent a short while photographing the venue, before the congregation was treated to the wedding breakfast. We now left the venue to allow the newlyweds to enjoy the meal and of course the wedding speeches.

We returned to the Lea Hall club on the evening to photograph the traditional cake cutting ceremony, as well as the newlyweds first dance as husband and wife.

It was now time for us to leave the venue as the reception was getting into full swing to party well into the night.

We would like to thank the brand new Mr & Mrs Smart for choosing us to provide them with their professional wedding photography for them on their wedding day. We would also like to take this opportunity to wish them a very long, very healthy, and very happy life together.
