Penkridge Hatherton House Hotel Wedding Photography

Sunday 6th May we had the pleasure of providing the professional wedding photography for Steve and Emma in the village of Penkridge Staffordshire.  The entire wedding was being held at the Mercure Stafford South Hatherton House Hotel.

We arrived at around 1pm, and awaited bridegroom Steve to come down to the bar area of the wedding venue. Steve arrived looking very smart dressed in his blue suit along with his son Sam, who was performing the days bestman duties for Steve. The pair were happy to pose outside in the very hot and sunny conditions for us to photograph them for the wedding album.  The traditional groomsmen photographs were captured of Steve with all of his groomsmen, as well as photographs as guests were arriving and being greeted by Steve.

We now popped upstairs to see bride Emma along with her daughter Georgina who was the bridesmaid. Both seemed fairly relaxed and had a few photographs taken, Emma looked beautiful in her blue wedding dress, Georgina was wearing a pink bridesmaids dress, and both were carrying white rose bouquets.

The wedding congregation were now called into the hotels Stafford Suite to take their seats ready for the wedding ceremony to begin. We waited for Emma and Georgina to make their entrance down the stairs ready to enter the wedding ceremony room.

The marriage ceremony went very smoothly and was thoroughly enjoyed by the wedding congregation. Emotions were running high with many tears been shed, both by Emma, and many members of the wedding party.

Steve and Emma were soon announced as the new Mr and Mrs Parton and led their loved ones outside for the traditional wedding photography to be captured. We took the main group shot of all of the guests with the newlyweds on the front steps of the Penkridge hotel, where Steve and Emma were treated to a heavy showering of confetti.

Once all of the official wedding photographs had been taken we spent time alone in the blazing sunshine with Steve and Emma to capture some personal romantic wedding portraits for inclusion in the wedding album.

The wedding party were now called into the hotels Penkridge suite to take their places for the wedding breakfast and formal speeches to take place. Once we had photographed the brand new Mr and Mrs Parton being officially introduced to their family and friends, and they had taken their places at the top table, it was time for us to leave.

We returned to the Hatherton Hotel in Penkridge on the evening to photograph the official cutting of the two wedding cakes, 1 a traditional sweet cake, the other a three-tier pork pie decorated with bride and groom. It was now time for the first dance as man and wife as they officially opened up the dance floor for the evenings wedding reception.

After the first dance was complete, the newlyweds snuck up to the hotels bridal suite where they changed into shorts, trainers, and t-shirts that they had previously had printed saying Hubby and Wifey. They made their entrance back into the Penkridge Suite much to the amazement and joy of everyone present.

The dance floor was now packed, and the happy couple joined their loved ones to party hard late into the night.

We would like to wish Steve and Emma a very long, very happy, and very healthy life together as Husband and Wife.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank them for choosing Glyn T Jones Photography to provide their wedding photography on their special day.
