Stafford Wedding Photography At St Marys Church of Alex & Rachel

Saturday 24th May 2014 saw us providing the Stafford wedding photography for Alex and Rachel on their special day.  The couple who live in Stafford had decided to hold their marriage ceremony at St Marys church Stafford, before moving across the county town to The Post House for their wedding reception.

We arrived at the beautiful St Marys Church at around 1pm as arranged and started setting up our photography equipment while we awaited the arrival of the grooms men.  The beauty of St Marys Church is apparent from the moment you enter the grounds of this amazing Stafford wedding venue. Once inside it does not disappoint either, a truly stunning building to stage your marriage. The very picturesque interior of this church was a good thing, as the weather had not been kind to us and it was raining cats and dogs outside.

Our groom, a very nervous looking Alex arrived at around 1.10pm, shortly followed by his best man James, and two very smart looking ushers, all ready to perform their individual parts of the wedding ceremony.  Guests had now started arriving now to take their seats in the church away from the rain. It was now time for our beautiful bride Rachel to arrive, so the bridegroom entered the church to stand at the alter to await his bride.

This left just us, Father John the vicar and the 3 beautiful bridesmaids waiting in the church doorway.

It was not long before an immaculate silver Volvo pulled up outside the church, delivering Rachel to her wedding. We managed a few photographs under the cover of the old trees at the church gate, before Rachel entered the church. This marriage was very traditional, and the church organist began playing the wedding march as Rachel made the walk down the very long aisle to greet Alex at the altar.

Father John from St Marys church, was without doubt the most relaxed vicar that we have come across, giving us pretty much free reign to photograph the service. The ceremony went off perfectly, a true fairytale wedding for the lovely couple.

Once the service was over, Father John again gave us free use of the church interior for the photographs to save everyone from going outside to get wet. This made for some stunning unique wedding photographs using the top altar with a glorious stained glass window as the backdrop.

Once all of the traditional wedding photography had been completed inside the church, the newlyweds made their way out of the church to the waiting car to transport them to their wedding reception. We managed to get a photograph of the brand new Mr and Mrs Sutcliffe under the cover of the trees outside before they got into their wedding car.

We now made our way the short distance across Stafford to The Post House, as this was where the newlyweds had arranged to hold their wedding reception for their family and friends. This venue had given us the red bar to use for anymore photographs that were needed of smaller family groups.

We now went with Alex and Rachel to the room that had been beautifully dressed for them to photograph them alone, enjoying each other company. We staged a mock cutting of the wedding cake ceremony, as well as them standing in front of their top table. We then finished off with some more informal wedding photography of them at various locations around this Stafford wedding venue.

We now congratulated the newlyweds before leaving them to party the night away with all of their guests at this lively Stafford venue.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Alex and Rachel for choosing us to provide their Stafford Wedding Photography for them on their big day.

We would also like to again congratulate them, and wish them a very long, healthy, and enjoyable life together as husband and wife.

A small selection of the wedding photographs will be on my wedding photography gallery, once they have been seen by the newlyweds.
