Stafford Wedding Photography at The Moat House of Paul & Nicola.

Thursday 29th August saw us providing the Stafford wedding photography for Paul and Nicola at the stunning Staffordshire wedding venue that is The Moat House Hotel in Acton Trussell. This is a first class location for a wedding, set in the Staffordshire countryside nestled in between a scenic lake, and the canal. Acton Trussell is a small village set in Cannock Chase, and is approximately half way between the town of Cannock, and the county town of Stafford. The Moat House Hotel is a 14th century moated manor house, with an award winning restaurant, what could be more perfect for your wedding day.

We arrived at this stunning wedding location at around 1pm as arranged, and found Paul already at the venue briefing his two young ushers on what their duties were to be for the days event. Paul seemed very calm, almost laid back as we took him outside onto the back patio of the hotel on the bank of the canal for some photographs to be taken for the start of their wedding album. Paul looked very smart dressed in a grey, three piece suit with a lovely bright red rose in his buttonhole.

It was now time for Paul to move out the front of the hotel to greet the guests who were now starting to arrive. It was very soon time for the whole congregation to move inside to the ceremony room to await the arrival of Nicola, our bride.

Right on cue a stunning white vintage Daimler wedding car hired from Platinum wedding Cars rolled into the hotels picturesque grounds, safely delivering Nicola and her father to the wedding venue.

Once we had photographed a stunning Nicola along with her bridal party, and the wedding car she was ready to make her grand entrance to meet Paul at the end of the red carpet for their civil ceremony to take place. The service was lovely, and ran so smoothly for this couple who so obviously love each other very much. The newlywed bride and groom led the party who were all handed a glass of punch back outside to be congratulated by their family and friends by the lake.

We now set about organising the wedding guests for the traditional formal wedding photography to take place. We decided a nice touch for the shot of all of the guests at this wedding would be to line them all up along the bank of the lake, and photograph from the opposite bank. This group was then broken down to include the family members that the newlyweds had previously requested that they wanted photographing.

The guests now made their way to bar, and the seating that is situated on the lakeside, while we spent some time alone with Paul & Nicola to photograph them enjoying the occasion, and of course each other company. There is no shortage of stunning locations for photography at The Moat House. This wedding venue must be every wedding photographers dream venue. After walking all around the lake with the brand new Mr and Mrs Baker, we ventured outside to the back patio where The Moat House has an old three wheeled ice-cream bike, that we needed to photograph the happy couple with.

It was now time for the bridal party, and all of the guests to be treated to a barbeque meal provided by the hotel. This was now our time to leave the party as it got into full swing.

We would like to thank Paul and Nicola for choosing Glyn T Jones Photography to provide their Stafford wedding photographer. They are a lovely couple who we enjoyed working with on their wedding day.

We would also like to wish them both a very long, happy and healthy life together as man and wife.

A small selection of the wedding photography from this wedding will be available to view in our wedding photography gallery in due course.
