Wedding Photography at Great Wyrley Church and Weston Hall Stafford

Thursday 6th August we were booked to provide the official wedding photography for Alex and Amanda on their beautiful wedding day. The wedding ceremony was taking place at Wesley Methodist Church in the Staffordshire town of Great Wyrley. The wedding congregation then moved to Weston Hall in Stafford for the wedding reception.

We arrived at Wesley Methodist Church at 10am to await the arrival of our groom Alex. A few of the couples guests had now started to arrive and there was an excited atmosphere building. Alex soon arrived along with his best man and ushers, all looking very smart dressed in their blue suits, ushers complete with top hats, while Alex had a cane.

Alex was enjoying greeting the guests outside the Great Wyrley church, until the whole congregation were called into the church to take their seats to witness the marriage ceremony take place.

Our bride Amanda soon arrived in style for her wedding. A glorious white horse drawn carriage pulled by two huge white shire horses arrived at the church carrying Amanda and her very proud father. This was all photographed for inclusion into the couples wedding album. Amanda looked absolutely stunning in her fitted wedding dress, along with her father in a blue suit complete with top hat.

The wedding ceremony was a lovely well humoured service, and soon Alex and Amanda were officially named husband and wife.

The whole congregation followed the newlyweds out of the church to congratulate the couple and for the traditional wedding photography to take place. Alex and Amanda had decided that they only wanted a few of the traditional photographs taken at the church, as they wanted the majority of them to be taken at Weston Hall in Stafford. Weston Hall is a glorious listed building from the fourteenth century.

The newlyweds departed the church to make part of the journey in the horse drawn carriage before getting into a vintage wedding car to make the rest of the journey to Weston Hall in Stafford. The wedding guests made their way over to Stafford, to witness the newlyweds arrival at Weston Hall. They were soon treated to the great arrival of the newlyweds in the vintage Chevrolet wedding car, driving up the long driveway to greet their wedding guests.

The newlyweds enjoyed drinks on the terrace with their guests before the traditional photography of the family groups took place using the stunning hall as a backdrop. Once all the family photographs had been taken, it was now time to spend time alone with Alex and Amanda to capture their romantic portrait style photographs of them in a more relaxed atmosphere at various locations around the beautiful grounds of Weston Hall.

The newlyweds were then announced into the Westminster room to the delight of their guests. It was now time for the formal speeches form the father of the bride, the groom, and of course the best man before everyone was treated to a wedding breakfast with plenty of champagne and wine flowing.

At around 6pm the couples evening guests started to arrive for the nights entertainment. At 6.15 it was time for Alex and Amanda to cut their five tier wedding cake. This was immediately followed by the lovely couple taking to the dance floor to perform their first dance as man and wife. This took place on the dance floor underneath a huge popping balloon that was hung from the ceiling, and was burst over the Alex and Amanda as they danced, showering then in confetti, and smaller balloons.

It was now time for us to leave Weston Hall and leave the newlyweds to party hard into the night with their loved ones all celebrating their marriage.

We would like to thank Alex and Amanda for choosing Glyn T Jones Photography to provide them with their official wedding photography. We wish them a very long, very healthy, and a very happy life together as husband and wife.
