West Midlands wedding of Mr & Mrs Downing

The wedding of Mr & Mrs Downing.

Saturday 21st July 2012 saw Glyn T Jones Photography travel over to the Old Chapel Church in Smethwick to provide the wedding photography for Scott and Clare at their wedding ceremony. The whole party then moved on to the Park Hall Hotel in Wolverhampton for the wedding breakfast and wedding reception.

We arrived at the church in Smethwick to await the arrival of the grooms men who were due to arrive in style in a forty seven year old split  screen VW camper van wedding car. Scott, our groom has a great passion for these vintage vehicles. We didn't have to wait long before the beautifully restored camper van came down the road to the church. We greeted Scott along with his grooms men before photographing them along with this wedding car. With all the wedding photographs of the full grooms men party complete they all headed inside the church ready for wedding service to get underway.

We now awaited the arrival of Clare, who is arriving in a fairytale Cinderella horse drawn carriage. The carriage appeared at the end of the road , pulled by two stunning white horses. This was the first visit of the horse and cart to deliver the bridesmaids to the West Midlands venue. We photographed the bridesmaids by the churches arched gateway while awaiting the return of the horse and cart carrying Clare, our bride, and her father. The sound of the horses trotting could again be heard coming down the road. Clare arrived looking truly stunning in her beautiful wedding dress.

We photographed Clare who seemed very calm and relaxed along with her bridal party before they entered the church.

The wedding ceremony went off perfectly, with all involved enjoying the occasion.

After the wedding ceremony was complete we headed outside the church for the formal family and group wedding photographs. Scott and Clare now boarded the horse drawn carriage one more time to have a tour of the local area, before returning to the church to continue to the Park Hall hotel Wolverhampton inside the VW camper van wedding car.

Upon arrival at the Wolverhampton wedding venue the newlyweds were treated to a glass of champagne on the red carpet entrance to the hotel. Once everyone was settled inside the hotel it was time to photograph the cutting of the wedding cake ceremony. We then headed into the beautiful landscaped gardens for some more family group shots for the wedding album.

It was now time for us to spend a few minutes alone with the newlyweds to photograph more informal portrait style photography of Scott and Clare enjoying their wedding day, and each other company.

Scott and Clare were a true pleasure to work to work with on their wedding day. We would like to thank them for choosing us to provide the wedding photography for their West Midlands wedding. We also would like to wish them a long, healthy and happy future together.
